Best Friends!

Here is Katya and her best friend Niki! I stole this photo off of Niki's mom's blog. She took these photos on a playdate at the park in early March when the spring flowers were just starting to blossom. They don't get much cuter than these two! Thanks Max and Gi for being such great friends and having such sweet children to be friends with my children. We love you.

Birthday money spent!

So we went to the toy store and this is what we came back with! Katya the rock star! Thank you Grandma and Bampa! Plus a new umbrella and a crazy spikey ball! She had so much fun having the freedom to choose what she wanted! Plus Oliver getting cute and big. He is finally taking steps and getting braver. We bought him new shoes and I think they will help!

Hello Spring and Katya's 3rd!!!

Here are Katya and Ollie a few Sundays ago. It was the first sunny spring Sunday and they got out their summer gear for church. Oliver kept putting his hat backwards like that on purpose, we kept calling him "Ollie G" in respect of the funny, if not slightly irreverent Sasha Baren Cohen of Borat fame, his original comic character was "Ali G" a gansta from Stains, a suburb of London. Anyway Borat aside, the kids are cute in these shots and as shown in the photos Katya is FINALLY allowing me to do her hair sometimes. She will wear "tails" and " 'rella bands" now and that makes mommy very happy.

I am very proud of my silly little cake! But it took some thought and action. Her party, as you can see, was a roaring success. There are no pictures of the cool games, but they played pin the wheels on the car, and other wonderful car themed games. There are pictures of them colouring and designing their own cars. We are all a little sunburned and a lot happy!
I can't believe Katya is already 3. Not because she doesn't seem 3, but where did 3 years go? She is clever, obedient, and imaginative. We love her immensely and pray that she will continue to be such a joy to us always!
